Rykke-Errel #2 – Omg she’s so big! (part 1)

Rykky-Newl is level 168 as I write. Strength, wisdom, vitality fully scrolled, chance on its way (95/101), agility and intelligence to come :D .

Lets see how she got there..

Chapter 1 – Gobbal fever

I started out with a adventurer set given to me by the Dofus charity. I leveled on quests until lvl 15 then I killed a lot of Astrub snappers using Martelo , pretty weak 4AP  hitting spell but way enough for snappers.

At lvl 26 I unlearned Martelo for Furia and switched to a full Gobball set and a boar ring. Typical combo at that lvl:

  • Furia + Reinforcement 
  • Furia + leek pie

Furia and Psychopath Mask should be level 5 as soon as possible. Reinforcement and leek pie can stay level 1. At level 36, Plastron to 5 is vital as well.

I trained mostly on class dopples and snappers until lvl 60. At lvl 40, I had to level Diffraction to survive better against some dopples.

In the meantime I started different professions on the account to make money:

  • Miner on Rykky-Newl
  • Lumberjack, Farmer, Baker on a panda alt
  • Fisherman, Fishmonger, Alchemist on an enu alt

Farmer/baker got 100 in 2 days. Fishmonger hit lvl 8x or so thanks to guildies who gave a lot of fishes to cook. I only leveled alchemist to farm Five-leaf-clovers myself for scrolling purpose.

I earned enough kamas with the breads, potions and cooked fishes to buy some dragoturkey mounts and upgrade my set. I also got given some emerald mounts by a guildy so I started breeding as well.

Chapter 2 – I am a boowolf

When I reached lvl 60, dopples I had to fight in class temples jumped to 80. I couldn’t handle them anymore so it was time for me to upgrade my set.

For the mount, I asked my guild leader to send some unwanted plum/emerald mount from his shed (he breeds for chameleon mounts). Why not emerald/ginger? Masq have 3 spells with modifiable range, 2 of them good enough to convince me not to neglect +range on equipment:

  • Torturoga, a shield castable on allies. It’s 12% of masq vitality and 3AP at every level. Only range and number of cast per turn is improved when you level this spell. Since all my plans showed I’ll be short on spell points. I decided to keep torturoga lvl 3, range 4-7, 2 casts per turn. At epic level it becomes essential.
  • Ardour, %dam buff + unhealable/unlockable state. Extremely useful to unlock yourself (happens a lot when you are a str masq….) but also a good tactical spell on enemies.
  • Picada , air hit and -lock penalty. Not very interesting for me.

Since I had 0 wisdom scrolled I had to find something with good wis. So I picked a few boowolf set pieces (hat, axe, boots), a gelano and a treemu for 8AP base then completed it with a rat belt and an ouginak cloak. To save kamas, I kept this set until lvl 106!

The only downside is I couldn’t do my dopples past 80, since the dopples lvl 100 were too strong for me.

Other than dopples I killed a lot of Otomai beach mobs and Sidimote Moor mobs (1 or 2 ouginaks minimum and many stars). I kept switching area depending on which mobs had stars.

Zatoïshwan #3 – Rogue Report IV

Rogue is leveling steadily, lvl 116 now, still killing dopples, used the double xp week end to grind xp a bit. I upgraded set at lvl 109 for Black Rat daggers/boots/belt/hat/cape and Dragon Pig ring/amulet + Gelano. I’m only 1/5 but the daggs still hit nice compared to my spell, one dag hit = 1 carbine hit.

Vitality is now 12xx so bombs have about 14xhp and I finally get to use combo bombs in PvM and PvP  they’re becoming a little bit more usefull.

Otomai’s mobs are no longer good to solo, I have to switch to kanigers if I want juicy xp.

I’m starting to feel the flaws of the class. Even if I love playing with bombs, ways to control them are too limited.

  • Kickback should work like fear from Srams
  • Every bomb spell (activation/buffs) should have a buffing effect on allies or negative effect on enemies. Just like Osa we play around with spells only dedicated to bombs but they’re useless otherwise. It’s counterproductive (yes I’m exaggerating a bit but it’s well deserved) when you can’t use bombs and WAY to expensive in spell points for almost nothing.
  • Detonator should not need line of sight
  • Increase bomb range OR make it possible to control bombs at distance. Either way bombs are only middle range or cc range if you wanna have maximum potential. Spells hit way to low to compensate for it
  • Spells in general are pretty weak. The AoE make them very difficult to play in team and the cast restriction don’t work well either. So buff them all! I’m not asking for OP spells, just not ridiculous ones. If Ankama make bombs better, I think we want spell to hit like feca or eni spells. Something decent, but nothing like what damage dealers classes can do.
  • Change class weapon. I can understand bow… maybe…. but sword??? Unless devs are cooking us some REAL int/agi/chance (mono-element or a mix of those) swords… Swords make no sense at all here.

 And to conclude: My first REAL dungeon with a team made of people from the right level! :

  • Geodude wis/str masq
  • Me
  • Some useless enu who only thought about casting chest
  • Maru OP feca

Zatoïshwan #2 – Rogue Report III

Sold a few stuffs I brought from Rushu (moo set parts and a few chameleons mounts) so scrolled agility to 101, chance to 91 (market ran out of cheap powerfull chance scroll) and wisdom to 101.

I switched to a 1/2 blessdags set at lvl 80. Twa-plus is now fairly well equipped. I level at Otomai’s beach still or doing kwismas quests. Here are guts/stats/hits screen shots. This is what Twa is doing at lvl 93. After the frustration of failing at kwismas quest on my Rushu feca, I tried the quest with rogue. I beat L.O. easily with him <3 Slayhound here I come! Even if I’ll never max it, still cool furry petmount ^^

This year it came back with a bunch of annoying quests, including running around the island 20 times, and killing one stupid invulnerable feca boss with the help of 3 stupid Wa: L.O. Athesome. I started doing the quest on sacrier, osa and feca to get some xp. Quickly gave up on sac and osa because quests were too much of a hassle. And I made that silly mistake to keep the quest on my feca, who can’t kill L.O. so I’m stuck. (I will not rant about that boss here, would take way too long)

So I crafted the cute Redolphe hat and bag as a revenge. Now – this – looks awesome, not like that silly L.O. xD

Zatoïshwan #1 – Rogue Report II

I lost motivation to level rogue for a while. I regained some when I decided to move to Zatoïshwan.

The way to level 50 got a little boring *wooohhhhooo killing snappers!* so I tried piglets. I put Deception 5, even without any points in chance it was enough, however not much mobs really suited my level. I got back to more snapper killing and I cheated a little, using my cra to leech the rogue up to 54.

At 54 comes the main direct air damage spell: Carbine  4AP at lvl 5.

It’s AoE diagonal spell range 9. The range is counted on the diagonal, so it equals 18 range counting it normally, you usually cover 80% of the map with it if not 100%. It takes a little while to adapt to the weird diagonal casting. (see below wiki illustration)

Level 54 was also the time I could finally put on the Hax Or Set minus the Golden Dragoone, obtained by premium package purchase (bought one for my enu). Probably the best solo-leveling set for low levels, supposing you can afford it.  It gives good wisdom and %damage. I kept the famous Tont’Ata Staff  as a stat weapon.

For the MP, I used Celery-Tea’s boots to go with it then later on Gobball Breeder boots  for the extra wisdom.

For 8AP base at lvl 60, I completed the set with Kam Assutra amulet and Gelano.

I got up to level 80 with this set, leveling exclusively on Otomai’s beach mobs. Lot of stars, definitely the bets xp spot as soon as you can reach the island (lvl 40 minimum).

Aermyne #3 – Return of the Cra

After almost 4 months spent on Aermyne my cra Nymph-Otuc returned to Rushu, hands full of archmonsters

Counting the archmobs I souled or bought for cheap price on both Aermyne and Rushu, I have the 286 arch soulstones needed for 1 ochre and 198 for a second + about 50 doubles.

As expected, arches were very easy to find on Aermyne. My cra could soul everything but big ghost and foux groups. I got helped for those <3

Aermyne experience was very good arch-wise, but the server in general is a bit frustrating. Little list of the weird things over there:

  • Some people pming you just because you are lvl 200
  • In Kolossium, 90% of even epic players only know one tactic: rush, cc
  • In Kolossium too, more than half the fecas never use fraction in pvp o_O. You’d think a feca team is annoying when you have no unbewitcher and not very hard hitting classes, but because of dumb fecas, it’s in fact incredibly easy.
  • Is there a BR wiki? because the brasilian players act strange, as if they didn’t know half of the game mechanics.
  • There is no official forum for Aermyne. Aermyne is not international, it’s multi-national. Therefore it doesn’t belong to any community in Dofus o_O

I bounded with just a few people on the server. One left before I even arrived :’(. Koda-Koda, joined Rushu and became SiC in le Boobz ship. Others were not a lot on. So as I moved cra back to Rushu, I also decided to move my rogue to another server…
